Stephen P. Ceurvorst,  Founder & Managing Partner



Mr. Ceurvorst has over 25 years of experience in banking and securitization.  Immediately prior to co-founding Lord Capital, previously LCP Capital, Mr. Ceurvorst held various senior positions with Mellon Financial Corporation (now part of BNY Mellon).  Most recently he served as Chairman and CEO of Mellon Financial Markets, a full service broker-dealer.  Other senior positions with Mellon include creating and leading the portfolio management group, loan syndications and securitization, ABCP conduits, mergers and acquisitions advisory, and private equity funds services.  Mr. Ceurvorst began his career in New York with Manufacturers Hanover Trust (now part of JP Morgan Chase) where he served in significant positions in the international and investment banking divisions.  Subsequently he served with Continental Bank (now part of Bank of America) where his activities included the placement of equity in the first-ever commercial loan securitization.  Mr. Ceurvorst is the Chairman of the Japan-America Society of Pennsylvania.  He earned his bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College, and earned his master's degree from Columbia University School of Business.




Joseph J. Lau, CFA, Managing Director



Mr. Lau has over 20 years of experience in structured finance and banking, both in the US and Europe.  Immediately prior to joining Lord Capital, Mr. Lau worked as a Managing Director and Head of Term Non-Traditional ABS at RBC Capital Markets, where he also started up the European Term ABS practice.  Previously he was at Deutsche Bank, responsible for the Credit Solution Group’s $4 billion lending book and capital markets business for consumer unsecured, student loan and certain non-traditional ABS asset classes.  He worked for more than a decade at Barclays Capital in the ABS team covering a variety of assets classes, both on-the-run areas (credit cards, trade receivables, certain mortgage assets, auto loans) as well as non-traditional assets such as transportation/operating assets (corporate and recreational aircraft, shipping, rental and fleet finance), CDO-related structures, insurance settlements and whole business assets, among others.  Mr. Lau began his career at JPMorgan.  He received his M.B.A. from Oxford University and a B.S. in Finance and Economics from St. Joseph’s University; he also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. 




Rajat Basu,  Managing Director



Mr. Basu has been involved with structured finance and the financial services industry for over 25 years.  Most recently, Mr. Basu established and was the Senior Portfolio Manager for Mizuho Bank's MAI Recovery Fund.  Prior to MAI he was Managing Director - Chief Credit Officer for International and Structured Finance at Financial Guaranty Insurance Corporation.  He was also previously Managing Director - Head of Consumer Structured Finance at Capital Markets Assurance Corporation and MBIA, its successor.  In addition, Mr. Basu served as Area Director - Credit Policy for Citibank's credit card business, and he started his business career as an Internal Consultant on Operations Research and Management Science at the American Express Company.  Mr. Basu has an undergraduate degree in Physics from Delhi University in India and graduate degrees in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Columbia University.




Paul Dimmick, Managing Director



Mr.  Dimmick has more than 25 years of comprehensive, broad-based experience in the banking and financial markets.  He has held management committee level executive positions with Manufacturers Hanover Trust, Chemical Bank, Mellon Bank, and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh heading departments in bank treasury, asset/liability management, corporate lending, securities sales and trading, mortgage finance, and capital markets including units overseas.  Mr. Dimmick has extensive experience in the use of derivatives and asset-backed securities on both sides of the balance sheet.  Mr. Dimmick started his career as a bank examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.  He currently serves as a Director of the West Penn Allegheny Health System, and a Director of the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.  He is a graduate of Lafayette College and received an MBA from the Wharton Graduate School at the University of Pennsylvania. 




George F. Paik,  Managing Director



Mr. Paik is a debt capital markets specialist with more than 25 years of experience including serving as Head of Loan Capital Markets at Mellon Financial Markets Inc.  His responsibilities included portfolio valuation and developing capacities in Credit Default Swaps.  Previously he was acting chief of the New York Capital Markets Division office for the Bank of Montreal, and was on the first loan syndication desk at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co.  Most recently, he served as a corporate loan officer at People's United Bank in Bridgeport, Ct.  Mr. Paik spent seven years as a US Foreign Service Officer, including tours as Political Affairs Officer in Brazil, Trinidad, and Tobago and as International Economist at the Department of State.  He currently serves as Chairman of the World Affairs Forum, Stanford, CT.  Mr. Paik has a BA from Harvard University and an MBA from the Wharton Graduate School at the University of Pennsylvania.




Mami Ogawa-Erber, CFA,  Managing Director



Ms. Ogawa-Erber has over 20 years of experience in financial services having held senior positions in institutional sales, equity research analysis, and management consulting with expertise in developing cross-border businesses.  She was co-owner and Managing Director of Alpha Dialogue Advisors, LLC, a consulting firm offering investor development and market intelligence research to investment managers including private equity and hedge fund groups.  As Vice President and Asia-Pacific Managing Director at Thomson Financial, she led its corporate consulting practice in Asia to become a global leader in investor relations and corporate governance advisory services.  Ms. Ogawa-Erber began her career in New York with Nikko Securities (predecessor to SMBC Nikko Securities) in equity analysis and institutional sales.  She earned her bachelor's degrees from Meiji Gakuin University in Japan and Hope College in Holland, MI, and her MBA from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business.  She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

William H. Fish, Managing Director



Mr. Fish has over 30 years of experience in banking and international finance.  Immediately prior to joining Lord Capital, Mr. Fish worked as Senior Managing Director and Head of Global Loans at Aladdin Capital Management LLC in Stamford CT where he managed all aspects of the loan business including a $4 billion portfolio in CLOs.  Previously at Dresdner Kleinwort in London he was Managing Director and Global Head of Loans and Transaction Services he was responsible for all lending areas including corporate finance, leverage and infrastructure structuring, and middle market lending; in addition, he managed related global product lines including financial institutions, trade finance, and cash management.  Mr. Fish also served for several years with Citibank, including as Head of EMEA Loan Sales and Trading in London, and also served as Head of US Loan Sales in New York.  He began his career at Marine Midland Bank (now part of HSBC) in Frankfurt.  He has a BA from Lewis and Clark College and has received additional education through Tufts University.


David E. Hritz, Managing Director


Mr. Hritz has over 30 years in banking experience delivering lending and capital markets products to clients ranging from small and medium enterprises to large multinational companies. Immediately prior to joining Lord Capital, Mr. Hritz held various senior positions with BNY Mellon Corporation, including Head of the Portfolio Monitoring & Hedging Group within the Enterprise-Wide Market Risk Division, responsible for managing a $2 billion CDS portfolio and monitoring capital market trends as an early warning system for credit exposures. Other positions included head of loan syndications and experience in the ABCP conduit unit. Mr. Hritz began his financial services career with American National Bank & Trust Company of Chicago in international trade finance and middle market banking, and subsequently joined Banque Paribas (now part of BNP Paribas). Previously, at HomeFed Bank & Home Capital Corporation he focused on leveraged loans and liquidation of real estate joint venture partnership positions. Mr. Hritz earned his Bachelor of Science degree from The Pennsylvania State University, and his MBA from The University of Michigan.  



Luke A. Ceurvorst,  Managing Director



Mr. Ceurvorst originally joined LCP Capital as an analyst in 2008.  He has been responsible for investment valuation calculations and active as an interface with the firm's auditors.  He has also been responsible for customized reporting for fund investors.  Prior to joining LCP, Mr. Ceurvorst interned with Adams Capital Management, a boutique venture capital firm, where he created social network marketing strategies for portfolio companies.  He obtained Bachelor of Science degrees with honors in both Mathematics and Physics from Carnegie Mellon University.
